“Rest when you’re weary.
Refresh and renew yourself, your body, your mind, your spirit.
Then get back to work.”
Ralph Marston
Dear ones, I’ve been taking a little break to recover from a rather bad flu/cold/thingamajig.
I hope to be back on the grid soon, but until then let’s rest a while by the Caribbean Sea, basking in sunshine and ocean breezes and oh-so-warm water.
“Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day
listening to the murmur of water,
or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is hardly a waste of time.”
Sir John Lubbock
“Sometimes the most urgent thing you can possibly do is take a complete rest”
Ashleigh Brilliant
What is your tried and true way to restore yourself after an illness?
I don’t have a particular way to restore myself after an illness Krista. I just think it is important to slow down and take it easy 🙂
Both of those are excellent ideas, Cathy. 🙂 Just the reminder I needed today. 🙂
HUGS! get well soon xoxo
Thanks so much, Cailin! 🙂 I will do my best. 🙂
A gorgeous beach! The water looks ever so tempting.
Cheers,
Rosa
Isn’t it wonderful, Rosa? I loved it there so much. 🙂
OMG where is this!?! It’s so insanely beautiful! Feel better quickly darling!
Isn’t it gorgeous, Andi? It’s actually in Cancun, believe it or not. 🙂 I went during the off-season and had the beach to myself. Amazing. 🙂
I am lying in the sand and peering up at the sky, in my dreams, as we speak Krista. I hope you are feeling much better.
That makes me smile so big, Val. 🙂 I love that. 🙂
Hope you feel better soon. Thanks for sharing your beautiful beachside photos with us.
Thank you, Karen. 🙂 I’m so glad you like them. I’m doing better today. 🙂
What gorgeous pictures. I hope you are feeling better and really able to enjoy the beach. Have a great day. Blessings…Mary.
Thank you so much, Mary. 🙂 I am feeling better today after a very good sleep last night, thank you. 🙂
welcome back Krista. glad you are felling better. My advise for the flu is lots of rest and lots of fluids and don’t be in a hurry to return to physical work.
to quote a great medievil movie classic “Excalabar”…….Merlin says….Resssst……ssssssleep in tha arms of the Dragon.
Thank you so much, Neil. 🙂 I’ve never seen that movie – though it does sound familiar. I’ll see if I can track it down at the library. 🙂

Stunning photos Krista, hope you are feeling better. Curling up with a good book works for me!
Thank you so much, dear Linda! 🙂 Each day I’m feeling a bit better. Almost there! 🙂
I’m now officially recovering from a kidney infection and I SO wish I had a beach to run to! Gorgeous!
Oh girl, I’m so sorry you were so sick! Yipes!!! Very, very glad you’re OK, my friend. XO
Krista reading your post I am reminded that I rest very little, even when exhausted I feel there is something still to be done. I had double pneumonia twice and it took that to get me to stop. The other night my little boy took me by the hand and said “come with me” he led me to our room and told me to go to sleep…than sang “Go to sleep my little Mummy” …out of the mouths of babe’s. Clear your mind, create where you want to be and let the rest drift. Sending love and hope you are fully recovered soon x
Oh Lisa, that is so beautiful. 🙂 Thank you for sharing that story with me – I’m teary and smiling. 🙂 Thank you. XO
Oh how I love Mexico!
Me too, Ayngelina! It was nothing like I expected. It was much, much better. 🙂
I absolutely love the photo of the lifeguard tower! My husband proposed in a lifeguard tower. I thought it would be fun to start a collection of lifeguard tower photos. May I have permission to print it and hang it on my wall?
I just sent you a copy, Jennifer. 🙂 Hope it brings many happy memories for you. 🙂
